Basic Information Introduction

Established in September 2005, Beijing SMIC Kindergarten is a private kindergarten invested and run by Ssemiconductor Manufacturing International Corporation (Beijing). Since 2007, the kindergarten has been accepting children from the Beijing Economic and Technological Development Area.

SMIC kindergarten is divided into two types of classes: Montessori and theme-based bilingual education and English immersion international classes, which meet the different educational needs of children.
SMIC preschool education is based on character first, sowing the seeds of love and gratitude in children's hearts, centering on child development,respecting the laws of children's growth, developing their potential, and focusing on co-parenting at home, while forming a preschool education with SMIC's characteristics.
The combination of Montessori and theme—based teaching, bilingual and English immersion, focuses on inspiring children's exploration, creativity, and concentration. There is sufficient outdoor time and professional physical training for young children to protect their physical health. The development of good character and good living and learning habits prepares children for the early childhood and primary school years and also lays a solid foundation for their lifelong growth.

Classes and Course Features

01Bilingual Mixed-age Classes

The bilingual mixed-age classes currently have 13 classes and 69 staff members, including 5 foreign teachers. The total number of children in the school is more than 383, with an average class size of 29. Among them, 81 are children of SMIC employees and 39 are children of faculty and staff.
The mixed-age classes are organized with mixed-age children from 3 to 6 years old and have a distinctive curriculum, including Montessori curriculum, character education theme curriculum and other special courses, providing a bilingual education environment and colorful practical activities for children.
02English Kindergarten

The English Kindergarten Classes currently have 4 classes with 20 staff members, including 6 foreign teachers. The total number of children in the school is 84, including 38 children with foreign passports, with an average class size of 22 children.
English Kindergarten classes are taught in an immersion style with foreign teachers and experienced Chinese teaching assistants, and have a flexible curriculum with more than 40 extracurricular activities each school year.

Faculty Team

The average age of the teachers at SMIC Kindergarten is 33 years old, and all of them have preschool background and relevant educational qualifications. There are three teachers in each class, including one life teacher who is responsible for the children's daily life in the school.

The teachers are experienced in early childhood education, love preschool education, and are patient, meticulous and loving to children. The kindergarten respects children's individuality and encourages them to explore and stay curious.

Kindergarten Environment

Double-jacketed classrooms, each with approximately 120 square meters of space, and spacious outdoor space.
The whole kindergarten has a constant oxygen fresh air system and a real-time air and water quality monitoring system to protect the learning and living environment of children in the kindergarten.
There is an abundance of Montessori teaching aids, with an average of over 200 pieces of beautiful teaching aids for children to choose from in each class.
Each class has a dedicated reading area with a collection of over 40,000 books on campus.

Featured Events

Large-scale Charity Sale

Through making handicrafts and performing shows, children raise money for orphans in need and develop a sense of gratitude and good character to care for others.
Social Practice Activities Outside the School

We take children out of the kindergarden to get close to the natural environment and develop their independence and love of nature.
Parent-Child Sports Day

Parents of children in the kindergarten are invited to participate in the fun games together to cultivate a close and beautiful parent-child relationship between children and parents, to accompany each other and grow together.
Eastern and Western Festival Cultural Experience

Experience the cultural differences in different cultures and develop children to adapt to a diverse cultural environment.
