With the educational philosophy of "Character First, Pursuit of Excellence, Thinking of the World, Growing Happily", SMIC aims at whole-person education, developing a special curriculum that combines Chinese and Western elements, cultivating students' ability for independent exploration and lifelong learning, respecting students' individual development, encouraging children to have a global perspective and critical thinking, and cultivating socially responsible global citizens. The school is a global citizen with a sense of social responsibility.
The SMIC school has rich activities in and out of class, and activities of all sizes come in an endless stream every school year. In these activities, children not only connect more with the classroom, but also exercise the ability of organization and coordination, strengthen team awareness, and improve leadership and influence. The annual charity event gives the children a greater understanding of the meaning of respect and gratitude.
Charity Activities
The charity sale of "Thanksgiving Blooming, Love Spreading" in SMIC School has been going on for more than ten years and has become one of the traditional activities of SMIC. The charity sales, charity runs, corporate sales and community sales are all part of the "Kids Helping Kids" campaign, which helps students understand the value of gratitude.

6.Fun Sports Day
Every autumn, the school will organize Fun Sports Day. Various kinds of fun equipment such as centipede walking, wheel rolling, tortoise and hare racing, and hanota make the sports day energetic.
In the process of competition, the children not only practice the spirit of "character first", but also appreciate others, cheer for their partners, and reflect the characteristics of "character sports" of SMIC.
7. STEAM Contest in the Middle School
Sweeping robot, homemade steam machine, ultrasonic levitation, quail birth story, smart garbage can... learning and practice of many subjects in science, chemistry and biology are presented in the STEAM competition. From theoretical research to experiments, all are explored and completed by students on their own. In the process of participating in the STEAM competition, the children really experienced the true meaning of "cooperative inquiry". Each group member has different tasks and different thinking and personality. However, on the road of science, children are tolerant and understand each other. Their enthusiasm for scientific research is ignited, and they also experience the hard work and value of scientific research in the whole process.
8.STEAM Creative Exhibition in Primary School
In the STEAM creative exhibition of the primary school department, the children's creative works are full of children's interest. Desktop vacuum cleaner, water rocket, intelligent garbage can, artificial snow machine, remote control grab machine, mini pinball game machine, egg "changing"...
In addition to the demonstration of creative science experiments, the presentation of the project by the group was also a wonderful part. The children's confident and calm speech and clear and fluent expression made everyone feel the creation process of each creative work more closely.
9."SMIC Wick Cup" Comprehensive Hero Competition
The "SMIC Wick Cup" is a fusion of secondary school subjects, history and geography. Teachers and students participated together, and all the questions were original. The host group, the micro-video shooting group, and the comprehensive knowledge contest of the subject...demonstrated a high level of overall literacy by giving full play to their potential, respecting and helping each other throughout the event, not only expanding their horizons, but also exercising their leadership and influence, integrating their knowledge of the arts and sciences, and learning and progressing through the integration of multiple disciplines.
